Doing Pretty Graphs With LaTeX and Graphviz

Today, I found a pretty cool tool called dot2texi. It allows for embeeding graphviz graph descriptions in LaTeX source files. Furthermore, you can style your graph nodes with the power of LaTeX.

Installation

On how to install a recent version of LaTeX please refer to http://www.itbh.at/using-linux-libertine-with-pdflatex-on-fedora-16/. For getting dot2texi to work you have to

[ ~]$ sudo yum install texlive-dot2texi

Unfortunately, there is a bug in dot2texi.sty (see [2]). You have to insert the line

\@ifundefined{verbatim@out}{\newwrite\verbatim@out}{}%

into the file /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/dot2texi/dot2texi.sty somewhere at the beginning.
